Because of the support of many local churches and pastors, many individuals, couples, families, and children were helped this past year. More specifically, Ginger Hisaw, the therapist serving in the Pineville location, provided 732 sessions from September 2008 until August 2009. During this time, 70 new clients were seen.
Earlier this year, Ginger became a provider for some health insurance plans and is in the process of approval for additional plans. She is currently an approved provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana and Humana.
Kathy Eichelberger joined the Granberry Counseling Centers’ staff as director in July 2009. Kathy earned her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling and her Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Kathy is married to Marc Eichelberger, who serves as Director of Development and Public Relations at the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries. She and Marc have two grown sons, Steve and Alan.
Your Granberry counselor, Ginger, also traveled to Thailand in January 2009 for her second year serving as a Member Care consultant for the International Mission Board. Over approximately ten days, she served on a team providing counseling to missionaries serving in Asia. Ginger also assisted with the retreat for the missionary kids about to graduate high school.
